ARE WE OUT OF CONTROL?

Fall term isn’t half over and four chapters have already been cited for alleged
    Risk Management Policy violations including:
  • Hazing
  • Drug use
  • Pooling funds to purchase alcohol
  • Unlawful service of alcohol
Please take some time at your next meeting to bring the Fraternity’s Risk
Management Policy to the attention of all members as well as discuss what is
covered in it.  If any questions arise that you can not answer, call Fraternity
    Headquarters.

And by the way...  “Follow the law” is a good first shot at correctly answering
any risk management question.  ‘Nuf said on this topic.

BETA PI

  RECHARTERING

     CEREMONY
          by: Jordan Commander

On  June 5th the brothers of the

Beta Pi Colony of Theta Xi

    Fraternity proudly held a

    re-chartering ceremony to

    complete their return to the

    campus of Southeastern Louisiana

    University.  Theta Xi re-colonized

on campus in 2005 but it took until

this spring to meet the require-

ments necessary to return the charter to the chapter.

Over the course of the 2009-10 year, Beta Pi Colony members increased their

overall GPA, recruited twenty-one new members in the Fall 2009 semester, and

racked up numerous community service hours for different organizations including

    Habitat for Humanity and CASA.

Undergraduate brothers attended the re-chartering ceremony and banquet.  In

addition, National President Don Merringer, Past National President Walter Brock,

Executive Director Jim Vredenburgh, Chapter Advisor Dr. David Schwab and many

alumni of the Beta Pi Chapter attended the Ritual Re-Chartering Ceremony.  The

ceremony was followed by dinner at the Twelve Oaks Dining facility on the SELU

campus where parents and dates joined in the celebration.
