Rob earned his B.A. at West Virginia Wesleyan College, and holds a JD/MPA joint degree from the Syracuse University College of Law and the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs. He currently resides in Arlington, Virginia with his wife, Dr. Colleen Shogan, and their pet fish, Flash.
The Patriot Express Road Trip was a five-day cross-country trip from Washington, DC to Minneapolis, Minnesota, co-sponsored by George Mason University and Project Breakout. During the journey, Rob Raffety engaged Americans of all stripes in a discussion about the then upcoming presidential election. The Patriot Express is a non-partisan endeavor, intended to raise political awareness and motivate people to get involved in the democratic process.
